Fire & Emergency

Your safety is our priority. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the following fire protocols and equipment locations.

🚿 FIRE HOSES

There are four fire hoses located on the property (see map for reference):

1. Next to the staff bathroom at Paquita

2. Below Curlew

3. Behind Sinbad

4. Behind Bayview

⚠️ Important: These hoses are for general fires only. Do not use them on electrical fires.

🚨 WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF FIRE

If a fire breaks out in your chalet:

1. Raise the alarm immediately.

2. Call Reception (dial 211) or use the emergency numbers: 082 498 0299 or 082 492 6821

3. Close all doors and windows to contain the fire.

4. Evacuate calmly and proceed to the public parking area next to Reception (see map).

5. Ensure everyone in your group is accounted for.

6. Do not return to the building until advised it is safe. 

🧯 FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOCATION

Each chalet has a fire extinguisher located in the kitchen, above the refrigerator.

This extinguisher is suitable for use on:

• Electrical fires

• Flammable liquids

• General fires

✅ HOW TO USE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER

1. Break the seal and remove the safety clip

2. Aim at the base of the fire

3. Stand a safe distance back

4. Squeeze the trigger in short bursts, sweeping side to side
