A productive meeting was held with Mayor Atty. Palma and the Municipal Budget Officer to discuss the procurement of budget for key community projects to be implemented in Barangay Tinongtongan. We are pleased to share that an approved budget of ₱15,000 for the Compost Pit and ₱90,000 for the Public Announcement (PA) System has been granted, with the release scheduled for September 2026. These projects reflect the local government’s continued support for sustainable and community-centered initiatives.
The establishment of a Compost Pit will greatly support solid waste management by promoting proper segregation and composting of biodegradable waste, helping reduce household waste and contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment. Meanwhile, the PA System will serve as an important tool for information dissemination, ensuring that announcements on waste management practices, community activities, and other public advisories are effectively communicated to residents. Together, these projects will strengthen environmental awareness, community participation, and overall barangay governance.
THANKYOU MAYOR ATTY. ERIC PALMA FOR YOUR KINDESS AND SUPPORT

The signing of the Procurement Agreement for Vermicomposting Worms marked another meaningful step toward strengthening our Compost Pit project in Barangay Tinongtongan. The worms were officially procured through the Science Department of Diplahan National High School, highlighting the value of academic and community partnerships in promoting sustainable and environment-friendly initiatives. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to practical learning and ecological responsibility that benefits both the school and the wider community.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Head of the Science Department, Ms. Bacay, for her guidance, support, and willingness to collaborate in this endeavor. The use of vermicomposting worms will greatly enhance the efficiency of the compost pit by accelerating the breakdown of biodegradable waste into nutrient-rich compost—supporting proper solid waste management, enriching the soil, and encouraging environmental stewardship within the barangay. Through initiatives like this, we continue to cultivate not only healthier soil, but also a stronger culture of sustainability and shared responsibility in the community.
