Stepping into 2025 with renewed dedication and purpose!
As we return to Barangay Tinongtongan this January, we are eager to continue our mission of service, learning, and community engagement.
With open hearts and determined minds, we look forward to working alongside the residents, addressing their needs, and strengthening our connections.
On January 6, 2025, ADZU medical students participated in the Flag Ceremony in Diplahan, signifying their commitment to community partnership. Following this, they paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Michael Site, the Municipal Health Officer, to strengthen healthcare collaboration in the municipality.
As they continue their journey in service and learning, these efforts mark another step in building a stronger, healthier partnership.
The ADZU medical students had the privilege of meeting Hon. Eric Yap Palma, the Mayor of Diplahan, whose steadfast support plays a crucial role in their community-based medical training. His commitment to healthcare and education continues to empower future medical professionals in their mission to serve.
In this photo, all three groups of ADZU medical students assigned to Diplahan—Barangay Tinongtongan, Lindang, and Gaulan—stand together, united in their mission to serve and learn from the community.
In a productive series of meetings with our various key stakeholders, the ADZU medical students presented their community health intervention plan aimed at addressing the needs of Barangay Tinongtongan and surrounding areas.
With their valuable feedback and support, we are eager to implement a plan that will positively impact the community's health and well-being.
On January 23, the medical students assisted in a medical mission organized by the Rural Health Unit of Diplahan, led by Dr. Goldwyn Grapes Perigo and Algren Jara. Held in Ditay, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay, the initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the community.
We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside these dedicated healthcare professionals in making a positive impact on the health of the people in the area.
A heartfelt thank you to the Barangay officials of Tinongtongan for your unwavering kindness and warm hospitality. Despite months of being away, we still feel cared for just like we did on the very first day. One year has passed since we first stepped into Tinongtongan, and the sense of belonging and support you’ve shown us has only grown stronger.
Here’s to another year of collaboration and strengthening the bonds we’ve built!
