Electric Bike

Our user said the thing that she did not like about cycling was the starting back up after being stationary. By looking at the rpm of the pedals of the bike, that will be slower when moving from being stationary we can add support during this phase. When the user has comfortable rpm (80 +- 10) the support stops. When the user slows down the rpm or stops paddling at all, the bike should not be assisted. Only when the user tries to speed back up they should receive a boost from the motor and again that should stop after the user has achieved a constant speed. Further research on which support technique is best is necessary.

This idea can be used as an add on device in stead of being a build in feature. The normal gears of the bike can be used. [1]
