Tiger Creek Owners Association Board Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 4:01 pm. Board members present were as follows: Greg Skinner-President, 863-585-5549, Nancy Crider-Treasurer, 717-658-1262, John Kregl-Second Vice President- 863-412-1426, and Daniel Whitman-Secretary, 863-696-1914.
Other attendees were Mary Kregl, Cindy Chandley, Jason and Kryssy Davidson, Rodney Crider, and Robert and Brittany Smith.
Nancy Crider gave the treasurers report and said most of the dues were in and we are in a fairly good financial position at the moment.
Dan Whitman read the last board meeting minutes and both reports were accepted.
Old Business
It’s getting time to trim the roads again and Jason has been contacting people to get bids. First we are going to try and find out when Duke Energy plans to trim the power lines which would remove a lot of the growth and save our having to do it. It’s been really hot so this project might wait till it cools down a bit.
Our gate openers are getting really old and occasionally break. We have talked about replacing them but the cost of new ones is prohibitive so the board decided to buy refurbished parts and repair them for as long as it is feasible.
Cindy Chandley has spent a good bit of time trying to update the phone book. If you want to be included or have a new contact number please let us know before Sept. 30th. Call Cindy at 863 978 8036 or Dan Whitman at 863 696 1914.
New Business
There will be no Trick or Treat at Halloween sponsored by the Tiger Creek HOA this year. There have been reports of alcohol usage, lots of trash left behind, close calls with children almost being run over and kids being left behind. Our association cannot assume the liability for any misconduct or accidents involving pedestrians. If the property owners in Tiger Creek want to do Trick or Treat among themselves that is fine but we won’t be opening the gates to non-residents.
A suggestion was made to add another light near the gates but the expense and extra maintenance nixed the idea.
Breaking down boxes has helped lower the overage charges for the past few months a lot. Keep it up!
We have 3 board members up for election this year and we need to see some new people respond. Applications can be found on our website https://sites.google.com/view/tigercreekforest or contact the secretary, 863 696 1914. Have them in before Sept. 30th for this years packet.
The next meeting is the Annual Meeting on November 7, 2026 at 10:am It will be held at the Lake Wales Family Recreation Center (old YMCA) 1001 Burns Avenue, Lake Wales.

Tiger Creek Owners Association Board Meeting

Other attendees were Ken Kalunian, Cindy Chandley, Jason and Kryssy Davidson, Rodney Crider, Mary Kregl, Kip and Linda Balliett, Robert and Brittany, Mike Spradley and Mike and Debby.
Nancy read the treasurers report and Dan read the last meetings minutes, both were approved.
Old Business
There was a good bit of discussion about the dumpsters. Nancy Crider has contacted another company, Waste Pro, and gotten some bids for their service. Our present contract with Republic is binding until December when the board will have to weigh the pros and cons of each company and decide who will provide our dumpster service. At this point in time we are leaning toward Waste Pro because they have offered us a Saturday pickup.
Please break down your cardboard boxes. It would really help make more room for trash, household trash only, and eliminate overage charges which really add up every month.
We need new applicants for this years board, please consider signing up. It won’t be long until we have elections and we need to get your resumes recorded. Contact the secretary, 863-696-1914.
New Business
Nancy, our treasurer, said that there were a dozen people behind on their dues, some way behind. She is going to send them a letter, explain the situation, and try to get them on a payment schedule. Our last resort is to have our attorney file a lien on the property, that incurs a lot of extra expense we would like to avoid if possible. The first step is to try and get people to pay up voluntarily.
A new selection has been added to our website called “Board Meetings and Agendas”. It lists the date, time and location of our board meetings and the subjects we will be discussing.

John Kregl is going to get information on a new gate opener like the one they just installed at the Flywheelers which is very similar to the ones we have now.
Spectrum is still installing their equipment and it looks like it will be a while before it is operational.
The stop sign on Post Road and Tiger Creek Trail is going to be moved to a better position. A camera was struck by a truck mirror at one of the gates and will be replaced.

In our rules and regulations, page 6, section 4-4 it states that only 3 cattle are allowed per lot. New Business
Our gate openers are getting very old and one malfunctioned recently. In a few years we will no longer be able to get new parts for them so the board has decided to look into replacing them with new equipment, possibly a lift gate. If you see a gate not working right, don’t take a chance, come in another gate. In the meantime Jason has come up with an idea to put a roller on the end of the swing gate so if it accidentally closes there will be less of a chance for damage.
There were some people from outside the forest using the Glenn St. Mary dumpster and they have been sent a letter stating it is a private dumpster for use by Tiger Creek owners only.
Don Rickards passed out an information sheet to the board members concerning the road material being used on our roads and pointed out his concerns about the dust created during dry times. The speed limit in Tiger Creek is 20 mph so please keep your speed down to create less dust.

Tiger Creek Owners Association Board Meeting

Other attendees were Trish and Dave Morrow, Mary Kregl, Leslie Whitman, Frank Weller, Ken Kalunian, Cindy Chandley, Gail and Ricky Feagle, Mike Spradley, Linda and Kip Balliet, Jason and Kryssy Davidson, Rodney Crider, Marguerite Burgoyne, Gloria and Jason Allan, and the Bullocks.
The first order of business was the board members selecting their positions. Jay Langley is going to be leaving this year and Mike Lewis has agreed to fill in the rest of his term after he departs. Thank you Jay for all the years you have been a board member and your contributions to the Tiger Creek community. Nancy Crider was welcomed as a new board member and is taking over the treasurers position and John Kregl will fill out the rest of his term as a vice president. Greg Skinner will continue as president and Dan Whitman will continue as secretary. We need new applicants for this years board, please sign up.

Jason’s contracts were approved for another 2 years and we appreciate all he does for us.
We discussed putting signs by the dumpsters asking people to break down their cardboard boxes. It would really help to make more room for trash and eliminate overage charges.
Thanks to all involved in the Halloween and Christmas parades, they were really great again.
Our secretarial service goes on vacation at Christmas time so they go by the cancellation date of the stamp on your dues payments to determine if you are late.
Dates of upcoming board meetings: April 12th, June 7th, August 30th and Nov 7th the annual meeting.
Special thanks to Cindy Chandley and the cooking club and all involved for the great potluck after the meeting. Everyone enjoyed it and it was such a success perhaps we can do it again.
