DeHavilland DHC6-300 Modification
This is a DHC6-300 that I obtained from Avsim. It was originally made by Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations and converted to P3D4+ by George Arana. Model made by Eric Dantes, gauges made by Thierry Pujol, and sounds made by Christoffer Petersen. Please see the original readme.
I made the following modifications:
1. Modified the empty and max weight as well as the passenger and cargo loads. The loads are set up for app. 10-12 passengers plus luggage and other cargo.
2. Adjusted station loads positions and fuel tank positions.
3. Corrected airplane geometry values.
4. Set engine torque to correct value for PW PT6A-27 and added additional fuel flow gain entries for a longer and more realistic engine start sequence.
5. Adjusted propeller diameter, moment of inertia, minimum beta, gear reduction ratio, beta feather, and minimum reverse beta.
6. Modified the fuel tanks by removing the auxiliary tanks and replacing the left and right main tanks with center1 for the forward tank and center2 for the rear tank, adjusted tank locations to reflect forward and rear positions.
7. Updated flap values to reflect DHC6-300 actual settings, removed the 50 degree setting as this does not exist on the actual aircraft, and adjusted scalars for realistic performance.
8. Changed toe brake scale for more realistic braking effect.
9. Changed VC light effect and location.
10. Added exterior and interior views.
11. Added autopilot config settings so it functions properly.
12. Adjusted the max oil temp, max oil pressure, and engine ITT max temp in the AIR file to display the readings more accurately.
13. Replaced several VC gauges with custom DHC6 gauges that were included in the original package, and added Taxi light switch to Electrical popup panel.
14. Modified the forward and aft fuel quantity gauges so that they now correctly display the fuel quantity, and modified the warning panel gauge so it now accurately indicates a low fuel condition.
15. Added a custom Kneeboard checklist and reference page.
