Flight dynamics have been modified based on official Boeing technical specifications and hours of testing. Many updates and improvements. Original aircraft made by Project Opensky. Please see the Readme file.
Boeing 777-200LRF Modification
This is a freeware Boeing 777-200LRF that I obtained from Simviation. The original model was developed by Project Opensky. Original VC by Jacob Kubique. Converted to FSX native by Zachary777. VC updates by Speedbird77 with gauges by G. Munro and Ken Wiggington.
Aircraft engine sounds are not included. There are good freeware GE90-115 sounds on AVSIM.
The GPWS and Groundhandling gauges were made by Rob Barendregt. The Jelair Vspeeds gauge was made by Jacob Larsen.
I have made the following modifications:
1. Removed the built-in landing lights from the model and added new landing and taxi lights in the cfg file using stock effects. Changed the built-in strobe lights to custom Boeing-specific lighting effects and changed the navigation light effects. Added custom Boeing-specific beacon lights via aircraft cfg file.
2. Fixed the VC model so the panel lights don't turn on when the nav lights are turned on.
3. Modified the empty and max weight as well as the cargo loads.
4. Changed the moments of inertia for more realistic feel and handling.
5. Adjusted the station load positions, engine positions, contact points, and fuel tank positions.
6. Corrected airplane geometry values.
7. Set engine thrust to correct value for the GE90-115B(had to derate this by 20% as the thrust in the sim is far too powerful), changed min throttle limit for more realistic reverser thrust, adjusted engine fuel flow for accurate fuel consumption, adjusted engine inlet value, and added additional fuel flow gain entries for a longer and more realistic engine start sequence.
8. Modified the fuel tank values to reflect the fuel quantity for the 777-200LR. Enabled electric fuel pumps which can be turned on/off on the overhead panel.
9. Updated flap and slat values to reflect 777-200LR actual settings and adjusted scalars for realistic performance.
10. Adjusted some flight tuning scalar values for more realistic handling.
11. Changed toe brake scale for more realistic braking effect.
12. Adjusted some autopilot values.
13. Enabled electric hydraulic pump and enabled wing deicing.
14. Added the contrail effect to the effects section.
15. Added some VC views and adjusted some view positions and zoom levels.
16. Added the GPWS, Groundhandling, and Jelair Vspeed gauges to the panel.
17. Moved the VC forward and higher to its correct position and adjusted eyepoint view.
18. Adjusted the EGT max temp and scalar in the AIR file to display the GE90-115B engine EGT more accurately.
19. Adjusted the Total Drag and landing gear drag in the AIR file for more realistic climb and cruise behavior.
20. Modified the EICAS gauge code to redline the EGT at the correct temperature, to redline engine N1 and N2 at the correct RPM, and corrected the N2 reading by a factor of +19%.
21. Modified the panel: re-ordered the gauge windows, replaced the backup ADF/VOR gauge with a flap indicator gauge in the VC, removed the popup throttle panel, added Lower EICAS popup panel that opens when the display screen is clicked in the VC.
22. Modified the EICAS panel: repositioned GS and TAS readings to make them more visible.
23. Modified the Lower EICAS panel: added multiple warning, caution, and advisory messages, repositioned the readings to make them more legible, fixed and corrected the oil pressure, oil temperature, and engine vibration indicators, labels, and readings, removed unnecessary gauge code which slowed down display updating, and added the next GPS waypoint, Time to Next Waypoint, and Distance to Next Waypoint.
24. Fixed and improved the popup Overhead panel: added Avionics On/Off switch, Yaw Damper On/Off switch, Pitot Heat switch, and fixed Engine Hydraulic Pump switches, Engine Fuel Pump switches, and APU Start/Off and Generator switches so they now function correctly.
25. Added audible Master Warning sound for Flaps Config warning when flaps are not set for takeoff.
26. Modified the Jelair Vspeeds gauge to provide more accurate speeds for the 777-200LR.
27. Added a custom Kneeboard checklist and reference page.
The modifications were made based on official aircraft specifications contained in Boeing documents. The aircraft was tested using P3Dv6, but should work fine in P3Dv4-6 and possibly even earlier versions and FSX.
