“THERE ARE NO FULL FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES YET” - SAYS IAN ESPADA, D.M., DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF COMMUNICATION (COC).

“There are no full face-to-face classes yet”, says Ian C. Espada, D.M., Dean of the said college in an interview with The Mediator last August 3, 2022. “We will continue with online set-up, however, in laboratory classes limited face-to-face classes are possible”. In addition, he clarifies that it still depends on the plans since things are still being discussed by the institution.

Similarly last A.Y. 2021 - 2022, some professors pursued limited face-to-face classes on their laboratory course program, and so the demand of the curriculum was met on the said modification. It’s notable that students in a class were clustered and scheduled to guarantee a Covid-19 free college community - likewise with the initial plans this Academic Year.

Dr. Espada also understands the adversity among the learners, especially that we still face economic recession and so it can be financially challenging. The COC will undergo further evaluations to ensure the safety and preparedness of the college to cater the best instruction among its constituents. He reassures that ‘there is nothing to be worried about’ and advises the students to wait for further announcements on the limited face-to-face classes. In conclusion, the COC will release an advisory on the implementation and will strive to provide information after a thorough consideration.
