The Wular Lake Mosque and Temple were built in the time of Zain-ul-Abidin. Here two structures are built on a common plinth facing each other- a temple and mosque. On the east, the temple is built in stone with the usual plinth and plain walls surmounted by a pyramidal shikhara having trefoil arches. The basal part and walls of the mosque are built in stone and the dome is in brick. The construction of the temple and the mosque, on the same platform, indicates the cultural and religious harmony between Hindus and Muslims1.
