Very soon we're hoping to hear more about a proposed new distributor road connecting the Trim Road with the M3 Navan South Junction. It was not the route we were expecting but will our hope for a Navan Ring Road actually happen? Read the Feb article too about the Blackwater Park link proposal.
Councillor Francis Deane called upon Meath County Council to carry out a traffic management report with a view to installing traffic lights at the junction outside Cois Glaisin at Metges Road. The 'report' will be included in the proposed works for 2019.
The L5050 road which links the Kentstown Road, behind the Dunville Estate and school campus to Johnstown Village is badly in need of upgrading. We're expecting to see a footpath and resurfacing from the Dunville Estate road to the Kentstown Road junction but the entire road really needs attention. The recent Meath County Council Posting describes "L-5050 Casey's Cross to Old Johnstown Village are continuing and will be completed by Friday 17th August".
