The Oath
The Oath
The Oath of Order was put into word by wolves of time's distant past. In an attempt to preserve their dwindling numbers in this harsh world, the Oath was spread far and wide across Animus through wolven songs. Unnamed or Clan, it is law and exists to separate the wolves from the beasts. Those that break the code are seen as threats on their existence and enlightenment.
Players are encouraged to write their wolves how they want to in regards to the Oath, as such they can be as loyal to it or as careless of it as they wish. Use this code as a way to tell stories of your Ignited Ones and flesh out their characters, as well as to dabble into some drama and morel dilemmas.
Do not bite, battles are to be fought with weapons and Primal Forces. Biting spreads the plague. Only bite when you know you will ensure the kill.
The killing of an Ignited One is only allowed within desperate measures to protect one's life and ensure survival. Remember, our kind are rare and need to be valued as such.
Cannibalism is forbidden. Anyone caught cannibalizing their own must be banished or killed.
Respect the boundaries of your rivals. Trespassing or stealing prey can result in punishment. Wolves have their own lands to ensure balance, defend it with pride and ferocity.
Pups are not to be harmed or killed, they are the future.
Spirits are to be respected and feared. Preventing a spirit's passage bares the risk of a curse on all wolves. Friend or enemy, prey or hunter, a fallen one is deserving of a respectful send off.
Hunting for sport disrupts the balance of Animus and will be punished. Gluttony is not tolerated.
Anyone presenting signs of The Soulless Sickness must be killed before they can spread the illness amongst their ilk. Mercy for them is death.
Cross-Clan relationships both romantic and platonic are allowed, do not however let it interfere with your loyalty to your ilk. Puppies of Cross-Clan couples need to be split between clans to keep numbers flourishing.
