Ignited Ones
Ignited Ones
Wolves in the island of Animus are known as Ignited Ones. They are divided between Worgs, Zhurs and Halflings. Their sapience plays an important role within their lives for they are aware of their understanding of the world and are able to craft tools.
Morphology
Ignited Ones use tools, practice animal husbandry, use medicine, craft equipment, build homes and dress themselves in adornments thanks to their dexterous hand-like paws. However, they are still limited to being quadrupeds despite their evolutionary advantages.
Creation Guide
Each species has its own guidelines for features and sizes. You can take some of this guide as suggestions and not law, as we allow creative liberty for designing your Ignited One. Parts in italics are required traits for the species! Your character can have faux hair and many different fur patterns that don't need to be realistic for a wolf.
Zhurs
Resembling Spitz breeds, Zhurs have a curly, fluffy tail that swoops over their hindquarters but straight tails also exist in the species. Their ears vary in sizes and shape with some Zhurs having pointed, some having floppy or some having one type of each. Zhurs are a result of self domestication, giving them softer dog-like features.
Unable to have the huge pronounced tusks and saber fangs like Worgs, they can possess small over and under bites. They can have a thick furred ruff-like mane around their necks and heads. Heterochromia is common in Zhur bloodlines. Aspects such as flat faces, long torsos, short legs, and hound-like features do not exist for Zhurs. Their sizes range wildly from Pomeranian to as big as Keeshond but they'll always be smaller than Worgs.
Worgs
Worgs are powerful and sport massive saber-like fangs that hang from their muzzles. Their ears are always pointed and at times can appear longer than typical wolf ears. Worgs have large and thick-furred paws with sharp, retractable claws. They possess long and very bushy tails. Worgs resemble foxes and lions meshed together, often looking very feliform or caniform.
Worgs outclass Zhurs in size as they are a large and muscular species. Worgs always have big fangs or tusks pultruding from their maws but they can vary in shape, size and placement. Small fangs like normal wolves do not exist in the species. It is common for Worgs to sport thick and shaggy fur that gives them lion-like manes and beards. They are known to be a ferocious, intimidating ambush predator.
Halflings
Halflings are the wild cards of the species in terms of appearance, behavior, anatomy and more. They do not follow one specific standard, as they are hybridized. A Halfling does not always mean an exact mash up of a Worg and Zhur but rather a mixed bloodline in general. Halflings are a good option for members who want a more standard looking wolf design or to go against the grain and go crazy with features of both species for their characters.
