The goal of No Mow May is to pause mowing during the month of May, allowing flowers to bloom in your lawn to help early season pollinators.
In Britain, No Mow May was touted to increase the number of bees in yards tenfold. And studies in the United States have found that lawn weeds, such as dandelions and clover, support a high diversity of bees and that reduced mowing can also result in higher bee abundance and diversity in yards.
