Joe Juptner reported that the first 10 24W41A's were offered to the civilian market. Obviously due to the war, every resource possible was being used for the war effort.

However, 206 and 207 were impressed as UC-61A's 42-97435 and 42-53514 during 1942.
207 (NC36194) 42-97435, returned as NC37161 currently registered as N37161, seen in the photo above and below can be found at The Museum of Flight. The fate of 208 is unknown.
Only two remaining ("civilian") W41A's are currently registered in the USA, 201 (N28691) and 207 (N37161)
