Joe Juptner reported that 75 W40's were manufactured. 11 24W40's were delivered to Siam (Thailand), 1 to Canada and 1 to Brazil. In addition, it has been reported that 13 were delivered to the US Navy as the GK-1.

  • No information found on the 11 delivered to Thailand, the 1 to Canada or the 1 to Brazil.

  • W40-107, NC25183 used by the CAP Coastal Patrol

  • W40-122 impressed into service (WWII) as UC-61G, 42-94127

  • Of the 13 reported delivered to the USN (7032 to 7034, 09787 to 09788 and 09790 to 09797) as the GK-1, W40-171 (NC3779C) as 7033, W41-172 (NC404) as 7034 have survived. There are other sn#'s in that area that are shown to be active but details unknown.

  • W40-107 seen with the CAP.
