Destiny's journey through the world of dance began at an early age at her mother's dance school, where she was classically trained and immersed in competitive dance.
Ballet, jazz, and gymnastics were her early passions, shaping her formative years. During her teenage years, Destiny broadened her horizons by exploring genres such as contemporary and lyrical, discovering a newfound passion in these genres. In 2023, Destiny's artistic journey transformed after attending a hip hop class, sparking new inspiration for her dance style.
Her dedication to the craft led her to attend prestigious workshops across New Zealand and Australia, including notable institutions like Kairos and Black Grace. Destiny's exceptional talent and hard work have not gone unnoticed, earning her recognition from dance enthusiasts and professionals alike throughout both countries. Destiny was a part of the Blessed x Central group “Blessed” that qualified to represent New Zealand at the Hip Hop Unite worlds 2024.
Beyond her accomplishments in dance, Destiny has a background in the performing arts that complements her diverse skill set. She is a certified CrossFit youth coach. Destiny also holds a bachelor's degree in bi-cultural primary education, reflecting her holistic approach to personal growth and education.
Destiny is of Ngā Puhi iwi and Samoan descent and carries a deep-seated passion for her cultural heritage and takes great pride in empowering the rangatahi of Murihiku through her work.
