In 2023, Bella established The Creative, bringing with her more than two decades of combined dance industry expertise. With 16 years dedicated to competitive dance and over a decade of teaching experience, Bella is passionate about crafting a robust technical and dynamic foundation for her students. Her extensive training and teaching background include contributions to AJDA, RAD, IDT, NZAMD, and DanceNZmade syllabuses.
Bella had the honour of touring New Zealand with the DanceNZmade team in both 2019 and 2020. During these experiences, she relished the opportunity to impart knowledge through teaching, conducting workshops, and serving as an adjudicator.
Bella's dedication bore fruit in 2017 when she achieved a solo seal in NZAMD contemporary, clinched the 2017 NZAMD contemporary scholarship, and completed her RAD Advanced 2 qualification. The following year, she added the AJDA Jazz Solo Seal to her accomplishments, having previously been honoured with the Mary Evers Award and Phoenix scholarship plus consistently recognized as the top examination student.
Her achievements continued in 2017 when Bella not only secured first place in the NZAMD scholarship weekend, earning the prestigious title of top dancer of the year, but also excelled in PACANZ, reaching the semi-finals for her solo and the finals for her troupe.
In 2018, Bella's talents were further acknowledged at the Kairos Convention, where she earned scholarships and early acceptances into renowned institutions like the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Los Angeles and New York, Eve and Bow, and Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance.
Bella has been honoured to grace the stage in various Invercargill Musical Theatre (IMT) productions, showcasing her talents in acclaimed shows like Mary Poppins and Sister Act. In her most recent role as Cha Cha in Grease, she unleashed her inner diva with a memorable cameo. Beyond performing, Bella has contributed her dance artistry to the latest IMT theatre restaurant, 'It's My Party,' both as a dancer and choreographer. Currently, she is lending her creative touch to choreographing the junior IMT show, SpongeBob.
As a dedicated dance educator, Bella's passion for fostering artistic expression and technical excellence shines through in every class. With a rich background encompassing over two decades of combined industry experience, Bella not only brings a wealth of knowledge but also an unwavering commitment to nurturing the potential within each student. Through her creative vision and expertise, she endeavours to inspire a lifelong love for dance, guiding her students toward their own unique journey of self-discovery and artistic growth. Bella's impact extends beyond the studio, as she continues to contribute to the vibrant dance scene, both locally and nationally, leaving an indelible mark on the world of movement and artistry.
