Shortly after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, President Trump terminated DACA. Many of those affected belong to our community at CHS. This issue affects us. #WeareChavez

Sept. 5, 2017

The Trump administration announced the end of the DACA program. Trump also said Congress needed to come up with a DACA fix in 6 months (March 5th) to protect 790,000 Dreamers.

The March 5th deadline came and went, and even though there was public support, Congress failed to protect Dreamers. Since then, there have been many twists and turns to DACA news.
