Having recouped three times its investment at 1991's box office, it was no surprised that a sequel to The Addams Family movie was quickly greenlit by Paramount Pictures. The original cast returned, except for Judith Malina, who was replaced by Carol Kane as Grandmama. Despite being a much more entertaining movie (and my favourite of the pair), Values wasn’t quite as successful as its predecessor. The studio, therefore, weren’t as keen to make a third movie and risk a further tightening of profit. And the untimely death of Raúl Juliá, from complications following a stroke in 1994, perhaps ensured one never materialised.
