This study aims to measure the vital impact of tablets provided by Quezon City as HUMSS Class 12 teaching tools on online learning at Lagro High School. In this part, researchers use Descriptive Research as a method to conduct research that focuses on the factors of the study. Dependent and Independent variables are not needed, and the primary purpose is to describe the state, profile, frequency, or occurrence of the variables in the research on vital study results. Quezon City provided tablet is having a major impact on 12th grade HUMSS students enrolled at Lagro Senior High School in online learning. The outcome of the study results, which answer how government-provided educational device combine the pandemic and the learning of 12th grade HUMSS students as two foundation in one phenomenon, result in 22.74% totally agreeing that they contribute, reducing the cost of education, convenience in online learning, avoiding termination of Internet access through load allocation, alleviating adversity in learning tools, and finally, access through online learning platforms and the rest of the respondents tend to agree, somewhat disagree, and totally disagree for a total of 51 study participants.

Filipinos are known for having close family ties. According to Mabalatan (2020), the Spaniards changed almost every aspect of life on the Islands when they colonized the Philippines. Because of this, traditional Hispanic values, including respect for elders, pride of the home country and close family ties are powerfully evident in many Filipino families. It is not uncommon for Filipinos to prioritize their family because they were raised in a society where people are willing to do anything for their loved ones.

But when the first case of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) was detected in our country and the cases started to rapidly increase, the government suggested and implemented precautionary measures that affected the country’s economy and people’s jobs. Therefore, leaving them with no other choice but to stay at their respectful houses with their own families. So in this study, the researchers aimed to discover the effects of the pandemic on the family relationships of the grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students of Lagro High School. The researchers constructed and distributed their survey questionnaire to the respondents online. After they gathering the important data that they need, they finally analyzed and interpreted the data. Abstract:

Sleep deprivation is becoming more of a problem in schools, with pupils failing to focus in class as a result of their lack if sleep. Sleep is unfortunately undervalued in society, and highschool students frequently have to forego it. According to multiple studies, today's highschool pupils are not getting enough sleep. Many of them even use substances to stay awake rather than try to sleep at night. Students who do not receive the recommended 8 to 10 hours sleep lose their capacity to achieve academically. Sleep deprivation has been linked to poor learning and memory performance in early adolescence, according to a study. Teens who do not get enough sleep are at risk for a range of health conditions, including obesity, diabetes, depression, and anxiety,in addition to making it difficult to go to school everyday.

Abstract:

Schools around the country have proposed tools and implementation as a technique of enhancing student learning using Google Classroom capabilities (Bebell & Kay, 2010; Sell et al., 2012) In addition to the assertions that using Google Classroom can improve kids' academic achievement, some experts believe that incorporating tools into k-12 schools better prepares pupils for the future. After completing secondary school, students are prepared for a technologically advanced society (Ismail, 2015; Kayalar, 2016; Keppler et al., 2014). In addition to various students and personalities, perception of learning tools stand to have a large effect on their ability to integrate well the Google Classroom and technologies that are used in their online learning. This study aims to measure the level of the students' literacy in Grade 12 HUMSS of Lagro Senior High School students using Google Classroom in their online learning system.

Abstract:

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 outbreak has brought the whole world in a difficult situation. The most recent report of Center of Strategic and International Studies (2021), revealed that among Southeast Asian countries, Philippines is the third leading country in terms of mortality rate caused by COVID-19. In relation to this, Simon Fraser University (2020), explained that sleep plays a significant role in immune functioning. However, the same study from the mentioned university revealed that students learning outside of school become night owls and sleep regardless of having the need to commute, go to work, and attend social events. The team discovered that students that are learning online in 2020 went to bed half an average of half an hour later than the pre-pandemic students and that they slept more during the day than at night. This unexpected result sparked the researchers’ interest to conduct this study. Sleep has been demonstrated to be an important part of one's health, impacting one's well-being and quality of life, said Jensen and Herr (1993). This means that sleeping is a part of our daily drive. No matter what we do, we need to sleep every night. Additionally, Westchester III (2017), stated that students are prone to sleepiness and poor sleep quality which has an impact on their academic performance and daytime functioning.

In this study, the researchers are aiming to compare the sleeping patterns of the Humanities and Social Sciences Grade 12 Lagro High School students. This is to identify the possible similarities and differences between their past and current sleeping patterns. The researchers are also hoping to find the possible reasons behind them that could help them and the future generation.Through the use of an instant messaging app called β€œMessenger” that was developed by Facebook, the researchers distributed the survey questionnaire that they made to the participants. They made it using Google Forms and it was specifically constructed to compare the sleeping patterns of the Humanities and Social Sciences Grade 12 Lagro High School students.

After the researchers gathered the data from the survey questionnaire that the respondents answered, they immediately proceeded to the next step. The researchers tallied, tabulated, and used statistical treatment to make sure that the results were valid and reliable. In order to compare the sleeping patterns of the Humanities and social Science Grade 12 Lagro High School students before and during the pandemic and to determine if there was a significant relationship between them, the researchers used the frequency count, percentage, and graphical analysis.

Abstract:

Today, the Philippines are still administering virtual study modes to prevent the spread of viruses. But according to Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, long hours of online classes may have bad effects on students' health. Taking online classes that much longer than before will cause a big conflict among students. It may also affect the students’ health by the reason of using gadgets for so long and doing a lot of activities by the teachers has been given. The reason for this research to be conducted to make people aware that taking longer online classes are not going to always help the students acquire more knowledge but it also has a downside for destroying students’ overall health. It may refer to student This kind of question, how long normal online classes will take, what are the other personal events that get affected by taking long online classes and is online class starting to affect student overall health. Maybe right now, some students are starting to experience deteriorating health. This conflict may affect students' future events and will become a problem to continue online schooling. This research aims to identify the major disadvantages of long sitting hours to students' performance in online classes. Long sitting Hours can greatly affect the existing problems in terms of the holistic development of a student, it has negative feedback on someone's well stable welfare.

Abstract:

Most of the students need a support system, such as a person in school, to help them stay on track with their assignments. For learners to acquire knowledge, teachings to be productive, and progress to transpire, students need to be in school regularly (Balfanz, 2016). This prompts the researchers to conduct a correlational study by exploring the relationship between the number of absences and academic performance of the Grade 12 students in the Humanities and Social Sciences strand of Lagro High School. The importance of this research is to determine the extent of absenteeism as one strategy to address this issue. The findings will eventually lead to improved results for students, teachers, and the school as a whole. In addition, the extent of the importance of the findings is to develop instruments necessary to cultivate a cooperative teaching-learning process and generate an improved learning intervention important for students’ education. This study is to pose parents, teachers, and local government to determine what improved learning intervention is to propose for students.
