Lagro High School: One of the Top 10 Schools that will make Korean Language Available

In June 2017, The Deped signed an agreement with the embassy of the Republic of Korea to launch a pilot program on Korean Language lessons in 10 Metro Manila Public High Schools. This schools are:

  • Jose Abad Santos High School

  • Pasay City National Science High School

  • Kalayaan National High School

  • San Bartolome High School

  • North Fairview High School

  • Maligaya High School

  • Judge Feliciano Belmonte Sr. High School

  • Lagro High School

  • Las Pinas National High School

  • Makati High School

Most of the Students under the Special Program in Foreign Language will be expected to develop skills in Listening, reading, writing and speaking korean language.

On this day, many of the teenagers are likely to watch Korean dramas and kpop idols. Having to teach the Korean language to students will be a good idea or opportunity for these kinds of students to learn the language of their idols. This good news will bring different experiences for the students because most of the time the Filipino language and English language are most likely the one that always teaches to students.

Congressman Alfred Vargas leads the Construction of the 8-storey building,

The Lagro Integrated School

For almost 2 year since COVID19 Pandemic started the governor Alfred Vargas proposed a new 8 story building with elevator for Largo High School Student to bring good facilities for every student and teachers in Largo high school.

After two years and a lot of patience from students and teachers operating in a maze of portable classrooms, they started the 2016-17 school year on their brand-new campus. Including furniture and equipment, the redo came out to about $65 million for a high school that went from the most outdated school in the county to what principal Bradley Finkbiner believes is one of the finest in the state. In addition with the new laboratory and gym the teachers will have a safer place for their projects if they use the laboratory and their work will be safer and easier because the place is more spacious that they run and for the players or varsities they have the advantage of having a gym like this because it is safer for them as an athlete's to have a more spacious gym and stress.

Students that look forward to coming to school every day aren’t only excited to learn from their classes, gain new knowledge, and interact with their friends. Those that are inclined to playing a sports like basketball appreciate it when their school has amenities that meet their hobbies. Providing an avenue for students to keep enjoying the sport is a great way to inspire children to keep coming to school so Alfred Vargas decided to put a basketball gym in his 8 storey building for Lagro high school students.

After 2 years of playing without a gym, Largo hits the road again in search of a state title. basketball court is important to players because it helps them to play and move properly in the game. Also, provision of appropriate and adequate sports facilities has considerable influence on participation in sport in any establishment. The school has been in the midst of a complete overhaul that has left the team homeless. The team has no home court to practice on and no home court to play games on.
