Cell Biology
The group has at its disposition a designated tissue culture room with cell culture hoods (BIOAIR, Safeflow 1.2) and incubators (Kendro Laboratory Products, HERA cell). Several standard and custom cell lines are used, such as HCT116 and derivates, HeLa, HEK293, CHO etc. Commonly used techniques include cell culture and transfection, cell staining and imaging, purification of cell populations, cell treatment with small molecules, biologics and drug combinations. Cell biology experiments are performed on standard and specialised equipment such as fluorescence plate readers (Tecan, Infinite M200 PRO), high-content imaging confocal fluorescence microscope (Perkin Elmer, Opera HCS) and Laser Enabled Analysis and Processing of live cells (Cyntellect, LEAP).
