The Halfmoon Region in Georgia, USA, would see scenes all too common in the years after the flash. A ruined world covered by dark clouds and snow. The nuclear exchange between NATO and the ACMF plummeted the Earth into a nuclear winter. Those that survived the flash would come to face tribulations of unimaginable proportions. Stockpiles and supplies were at an all-time low, the surface could not support farms and people were turning on each other left and right to fight for every scrap that was left. With the very air outside considered polluted, venturing the surface proved a constant challenge. Not to mention the RAD-X monstrosities that roamed the cold wasteland.
Unfortunately, nothing seemed to have improved much at all by the year 2039. Constant small scale turmoil meant that no peace could ever last. Some fought over provisions or munitions, some fought over leadership disputes and others fought over old grudges that hadn't yet been settled. Which brings us to a camp formed around stranded old tanks, where a remnant group of ACMF invaders have decided to settle down.
The tank crews that had once attempted to survive in the armored metal shells of their vehicles had starved to death years before the arrival of their current occupants. A detachment of paratroopers had made their way to the Halfmoon Region and, with a lack of better options, decided to hole up in the old camp in the forest, far from prying eyes.
Life here would not prove easy. Constant fighting over resources resulted in high casualty rates and a never-ending cycle trying to scrounge enough together just to continue on. A local underground community named "The Den" would prove one of the most interesting places to procure things, even if the remnants had to mask themselves going there. Getting there often proved difficult however due to the river splitting the region in two. Even worse for the ACMF remnants would be a small gathering of SEALs or the USCPF forces stationed at a power plant in the region as well as NATO survivors holed up in an old prison complex, neither wanting to suffer the ACMF to continue existing.
Besides the obvious human threats, the winterscape of Deep Winter is also home to many RAD-X infected mutants. Most that you will find are feral and wild or still in their earlier stages of infection with limited sentience, but there is another type entirely. Mutants of the Cerberus Singularity are highly organized and form a collective force that actively spreads their "gift" across the wasteland
The remnants of the tank camp would continue to face the battles ahead, shivering and starving. No matter if the fight was against civilians, bandits or soldiers alike as long as it bought them another tomorrow.
Playable Nations/Factions: Russian/NCE/Turkish/Iranian Remnants
A constant tension between group members is tangible. It has been more than once that the Tank camp inhabitants would splinter into smaller groups and even split from the main group for a while to achieve their own goals. Morale is low and infighting is common in both a verbal and physical way. There are still members willing to make things work the best they can thankfully, they form the glue that binds the survivors together despite everything.
The main focus of the camp remnants is living to see another day. Home is something they will never see again and they are fully aware. Nearly all local factions are hostile towards the ACMF to some degree, with a few being at outright war. A notoriously bloody relation with the USCPF and NATO forces roaming the region means that no patrol is every truly safe and chances of firefights breaking out common. An instance occurred of an ACMF remnants blowing themselves up with multiple bombs in order to undermine a USCPF ran shelter. Besides that, supplies are always in need of restocking and what better way to get filters and electronics than by taking it from your enemies.
The camp of survivors knows one leader but often has to juggle other officers forming their own entourage, risking the stability of the camp in order to further their own ideals. The members of the ACMF that are left are ruthless if anything and how a low tolerance towards failure.
One more permanent splinter of ACMF remnants in the region is located in Drastead, on the other side of the river. This group of remnants have shed their old uniforms in favor of a more stable environment. They work under the employ of a dubious trade organization named "The Market" and function as mercenaries of sorts, much to the dislike of their tank camp counterparts.
