The coastal city of Rockport was the tech capital of the United States of America and a hotbed for all kinds of activity and business, before the flash occured that is. It was marked for the invasion of 2032 and eventually marked for nuclear destruction.
The invasion started on the doorsteps of Naggsville, a vacation town at the beaches, which was heavily bombed at the start of the attack to make way for the landing forces. Troops and tanks made their way ashore by sea and air, albeit not for long, as the skies were dotted with EMP waves and distant nuclear explosions. Ships were left adrift at sea while aircrafts came crashing out of the sky above.
The landing ACMF forces in Naggsville would have to find shelter in the same buildings they turned to rubble and the subway systems. The fighting in the first years after the apocalyptic event would be considered some of the most intense across the eastern coast. An inevitability when there are so many survivors of both sides still present with an abundance of munitions.
Now, thirty-five years after the flash in the year 2067, the remnants of the invading force still cling on to survival in an old WcDonny's. Although many original survivors had scattered, died in the early fighting or disappeared into the local populace, there was still a group banding together that refused to take off their uniforms. It was them that turned a staple of American fast food into a well fortified encampment.
The location of the camp at the edge of Naggsville has caused some grudging wastelanders to take shots at the ACMF, usually causing their own demise once the remnants start firing back. Most wastelanders and factions simply avoid contact with the camp altogether and try to give it a wide berth. With the exception of a band of RAD-X infected marauders called "The Mudmen" who seem to more actively seek out firefights with the ACMF remnants.
The USCPF has commonly claimed to lack both the time and resources necessary to eradicate the ACMF survivors, but who knows how much truth that holds. With warring gangs in the city of Rockport itself and a region in turmoil, it may take a while until the USCPF can make good on their threat.
Playable Nations/Factions: Russian/Turkish/Iranian Remnants and Descendants.
Limited Presence: GRU and Ventrox Remnants
The survivors of the camp are an odd bunch. Many of the descendants have mixed nationalities and varied views on the current situations. With most of the older remnants nearing their 60s or well beyond, they spend most of their time training and preparing their descendants as best they can. Thankfully for the young ones, that means they get first hand military training from veterans that not only survived the invasion but the many years after the flash. Decisions are made by a small council that consists of a combination of promising young leaders as well as veterans of the war.
The ACMF survivors often go out in civilian clothing to go trade with small outposts or Docktown for supplies, often offering services as well as scavenged or repaired wares in return. Those that venture out tend to keep their heads low and avoid being seen leaving the camp by other wastelanders. The camp itself is rarely approached by wastelanders and, due to the tensions with other locals, the walls of the camp are nearly permanently manned to catch potential intruders and trespassers.
A small cluster of young members have taken to more radical means of expressing themselves to the outside world in the form of violence, including an anonymous and notoriously explosive attack on a CDF watch tower in the late months of 2066. Older members worry about this behaviour as it might paint the young generation a target to the CDF and USCPF.
As for equipment, the survivors use scraps of their old gear combined with other various pieces of clothing like jeans or cargo pants. Many of the old BDUs are tattered and damaged, and not everyone can get their hands on intact ACMF uniforms anymore. It is usually the rule to sport at least one identifiable piece of uniform, either pants or a jacket, in combination with something else. This is to ensure camp members can identify eachother out in the wastelands.
