Produced by the NCE these little scouting drones provide a remotely controlled way to scout further ahead without exposing the user to any real danger. They are approximately the size of a red brick but weighing significantly less than one, thanks to lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and reinforced plastics.
The drones work via a remote connection from a PDA, ARD, or HUD. The connection device broadcasts a small signal the drone picks up and follows. It is not armed however, and is susceptible to damage. The camera can provide a 360 degree field of vision, with excellent night vision and thermal imaging systems.
One unique feature of the HuangFeng is the ability to lock on to targets equipped with electronics, including NATO PDAs and HUDs. The drone will track any person using said tech, and will relay a visual indication in the form of a red box on the location of the target on electronics of friendly forces such as PDAs or HUD. The drone cannot track through cover however and requires a constant line of sight for accurate relaying of information.
Due to their importance and value to infantry and wasteland scavengers alike, it is incredibly rare to find these drones intact after the flash.
Let alone finding one in working conditions.
