The Flash left Japan in radioactive ruins. While the original number of warheads launched at Japan had been relatively small, an uncountable number meant for ACMF nations had been deflected or prematurely detonated overhead or within Japan's borders. Cities became craters and surviving citizens and troops fled to the countryside.
Now twenty-two years after the flash, in the year 2054, the two largest factions of post-flash Japan budded heads causing large scale civil war. The NJLF and the Rising Sun Warriors would make Omaru Point in Osaka a bloody no-man's land with all kinds of groups and peoples caught in the middle.
In a damaged munitions factory by the Renkinjutsu flats resides a camp of NCE remnants, holed up near a tunnel leading out of the region. They are some of the few scattered ACMF troops still surviving the wastelands in hope to one day return home. Although each passing day has made that premise less and less likely some still hold on to hope, while others have given up and aim to survive the best they can considering the circumstances. The factory has a small trading section reserved for those who are willing to approach the Chinese encampment. Many of the camp's troopers tend to venture out without their uniforms and keep their heads low to avoid being identified.
The people of Omaru Point do not look kindly upon the remnants and with good reason. In the conflicts leading up to the flash, the NCE became infamous for their inhumane treatment of opposing citizenry as well as their use of volatile chemical weaponry. Many wastelanders blame the NCE for causing the flash in the first place due to their large role in the Third World War. The tensions in the region as well as the Chinese control of munitions in the area have been able to prevent the outright eradication of the remnants however, for the time being.
Playable Nations/Factions: NCE Remnants and Descendants
The ACMF remnants of the camp carry themselves with a stern attitude, which is also something they drill into their descendants. Their innate distrust to outsiders means that every interaction is handled with great caution. The older members of the survivors also demand respect from the younger ones and enforce a hierarchy of sorts. Even though ranks mean little any more in the wasteland, the remnants continue using them to ensure order within their walls.
Ammunition is a driving factor of the NCE's continued survival in the region. Their control of the old factory has allowed them to loosely dictate where munitions go. This grip has loosened with the arrival of the NJLF and RSW in recent years, as their war has brought a great influx of equipment to the Osaka region. Thankfully many of the more desperate locals still find their way to the gates of the factory, looking for a deal.
The camp itself prefers to avoid interaction with the NJLF and RSW due to the great threat they pose but exchanges have been known to take place between the ACMF and smaller groups as well as wastelanders. Mutants however are treated more aggressively than anything else in the region, as the NCE sees them as abominations that should not be allowed to continue to roam the very earth itself.
