Growing up as a pre-teen in a Nigerian household, i can vividly remember how my love for cooking started. As a child who also enjoyed joining other kids to play while their mothers prepare the meals for the day, there were times when I and my sister will visit my late grandma whenever she was in our city. When meal prep time rolled around, she would also call on I and my sister to join her in the kitchen to watch and replicate whatever she was doing. Looking back, I am confident when I say those experiences awakened my love for cooking.
While many people I know always see cooking as a chore, there has never been a time where I hated cooking. When it also comes to preparing Nigerian dishes, they can be very time consuming because of the effort it takes in prepping these dishes. Although it can be very time consuming I often find myself standing for hours and having a yummy end result.
I decided to start this blog to share with you my passion for cooking and recipes passed down from my grandma and mum. I hope you enjoy browsing through them!
