Transportation Services 

If you have Partnership Health Plan for health insurance you may be eligible to get transportation to and from you appointments.

A transportation specialist will answer any questions you have about transportation and will help address any problems you may have related to your transportation needs. 

The Transportation Services Department coordinates non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), ​non-medical transportation (NMT), gas mileage reimbursement, and other travel-related services for our members. It is our responsibility to get you to your medically necessary, Medi-Cal covered services using the least costly method of transportation that meets your needs.

Medi-Cal Transportation 

Medi-Cal offers transportation to and from appointments for services covered by Medi-Cal. This includes transportation to medical, dental, mental health, or substance use disorder appointments, and to pick up prescriptions and medical supplies.

There are two types of transportation for appointments: 

• Nonmedical transportation (NMT) is transportation by private or public vehicle for people who do not have another way to get to their appointment.

• Nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) is transportation by ambulance, wheelchair van, or litter van for those who cannot use public or private transportation.
