Signal Breath

This simple exercise resets your autonomic nervous system and signals to the brain that you’re calm.

  1. Stand or sit up straight with both feet on the floor.
  2. Allow your arms to relax at your side or place your hands on your knees.
  3. Inhale slowly, allowing your belly to expand.
  4. Hold your breath for a count of 4.
  5. Exhale slowly, to a count of 7.
  6. Repeat two more times.

And you’ll feel calm!
