Dear all,
We have dreams, we have aspirations and we have longing. All these dreams, aspirations, and longing make us a dreamer. Such dreams push us to invent courage, invent confidence and inculcate determination. However, we cannot dream beyond the horizon we have sight of and it is humane to have the desire to expand our horizons. This same humane quality gives birth to the growth principle. As Leslie Marmon Silko says in her book, Ceremony, “Something that does not grow dies,” it is important to grow to stay alive.
TESMUN is also an effort to expand our horizon based on the principle of growth. We must be ever eager to grow and catch up with the world around us. The world around us is shaped by our individual aspirations and dreams. To dream of a better world and contribute meaningfully, you, the young generation, are beginning to explore global affairs. When you become aware of world affairs, you will become more focused to address the problems that surface.
Here our dream of making you an impactful individual in days to come gets embedded in this event. We hope when you undergo the process today will give you skills to handle the pressing problems of tomorrow. You will develop and strengthen your skills in diplomacy, debate, and discussion. Moreover, you will be able to filter the truth from lies in this post truth era. We would like to extend our best wishes to all of you! Like Dhurba, may you shine in the sky! May people aspire to be like one of you!
Good luck!
