Delegates Forge Historic Debate on DISEC

The DISEC committee was thrown into chaos today as explosive allegations on the escalating conflicts in the middle east between global superpowers .The session, which was expected to focus on routine disarmament discussions, quickly spiraled into a high-stakes showdown that left delegates scrambling to defend their nation’s integrity and intentions.

The day began with an unexpected and dramatic suspension of the delegate of Sudan(Narayan Sharma) for 5 minutes who was claimed to have offended the vice chair of the chamber.

“In the contest of the escalating war in the Middle east, it must be resolved as soon as possible through strategic combination of diplomatic chgagements, multilateral cooperation and humanitarian assistance to migrate violence of UK(Jasbin Aadhikari) . The delegate states that the UK supports initiatives aimed at promoting regional trade, investment and infrastructure development.

“As the debate ragged on, nations found themselves caught in the crossfire.” “Sudan, as a country struck by its own sand storm of problems, cannot provide big aids to the other struggling countries.”stated the delegate of Sudan(Nayan Sharma) after their suspension.

The delegate took a sharp turn as the representatives from Ukraine( Neeti Shreshtha) questioned the delegate of Sudan(Nayan Sharma), “As the civil war enters its second year, Sudan’s two warring factions remain in a deadly power struggle. Since the conflict began on April 15,2023,almost 15,000 have been killed and 82 displaced. What is the Sudanese government doing in this matter?”where the delegate of Sudan was found to not satisfy the delegate of Ukraine.

The delegate of Yemen(Drishtant Subedi) reported that French equipment majour for Yemen to lose life where the delegate of France(Binisha Nepal) replied, “It was just done for peacekeeping and that the delegate has been supporting UN, but the delegate of Yemen wasn't satisfied by the answer.

“Why is the delegate of the USA giving the weapon to Israel?” questions the delegate of Ukraine(Neeti Sharma) to the delegate of USA(Progress Dhakal).

The delegate of USA reported stating that it was done for Two state solution and peace. 

As the debate raged on a Moderated caucus on the role of arms trade and international terms in the middle cast. 

The delegate of Ukraine stated that the delegate hadn’t shown interest in the middle cast, but now has a dilemma because of Palestine and is real. “ Different treaties weren't working due to noncompliance with arms trade in Yemen and Syria”. Said the delegate of the UK (Jasbin Adhikari).

“The UK itself is selling different weapons to Saudi Arabia which is bombing civilian areas” reported the delegate of Yemen (Drishtant Subedi) while the delegate of UK (Jasbin Adhikari) questioned Yemen (Drishtant Subedi) about how the different treaties have helped Yemen . In reply Yemen replies that despite the civil war, Yemen had continuously supported the disarmament.   

The delegate of US (Progress) said that “Iran is also one of the countries who has been using nuclear weapons”.

As the delegate moved on a crisis had occurred in the chamber horrifying all the delegates about the nuclear energy production.  

The delegate of Brazil (Ishan Sharma) stated that Brazil had only one uranium mine in Brazil so, less amount of uranium is produced in Brazil. So, the delegate of Brazil had no clue. “Are they so weak that they had no idea?” asked the delegate of Iraq (Ashraya Regmi). 

“Brazil exports 7970 kg of uranium, which might make a difference to nuclear weapons”. Reported the delegate of the USA (Progress Dhakal) but the delegate of Brazil questioned the US by saying that Brazil has good relationships with countries so, does that mean all the allies were terrorists?! 

Brazil states that Sudan had also supported and sponsored many terrorist groups before”. China and Russia attempted to end US dominance so they are potential culprits. Says the delegate of USA (Progress Dhakal).

As an update is given the environment in the chamber starts boiling up. Accusing Iran and North Korea to provide aid to prometheus.

“North Korea said they had humanitarian problems but it seems that never mattered.”said the delegate of US(Progress Dhakal). The delegate of Iraq(Ashray Regmi) reported that Iran, Russia, China and North Korea have been allied in the past before.

In their presidential speeches, the delegates of the US and Yemen emphasized their ongoing cooperation in addressing the issue at hand. Despite numerous rounds of negotiations and diplomatic efforts, the committee remained deeply divided, with member states firmly holding their positions, eaving the issue unresolved and highlighting the complexity of achieving consensus on such critical matters in the international arena.
