In this project I chose New Zealand and my partner chose Vietnam. We discussed the difference in demographics, terrain, and technology between the two countries. One thing I found interesting was that Vietnam has a huge population total than New Zealand. I didn't realize the differences and that's why it was so interesting to see the numbers were pretty similar when it came to the digital divide within the two countries.
Here are the links to our project and my research document. As well as it embed.
I learned that just because you have a first world country that doesn't necessarily mean the technological divide is smaller. In this case Vietnam was about the same level of divide that New Zealand has. I also learned more about powerpoint through this project. I had to click through a lot of the resources to find what I was trying to do or make on my slide. One thing was how to add animation to the objects. While I didn't have any on the powerpoint I found out how to do it when I was creating shapes. My partner and I communicated through text message and through our document. We put notes on the powerpoint pages so that it was more direct and helped organize our paper and get on the same page. I also tried to mirror our powerpoint so that our data and information was relatable and easy to understand along with being cohesive. My partner made it easy since he did extensive research as well so we were able to get good information.
