Gee's Bend Quilters
The Gee’s Bend Quilters are a group of amazing artists who live in a small community in Alabama. For many years, the women there have made beautiful quilts using old clothes, bright colors, and fun shapes. Their quilts look a little like puzzles or pictures made from fabric.
These quilts aren’t just warm blankets — they are works of art. Each quilt tells a story about family, love, and the place they live. The quilters use their imaginations to create patterns that are bold, colorful, and full of life. Today, people all over the world admire their quilts in museums and galleries.
When we look at their art, we learn that artists can use anything — even scraps of fabric — to make something beautiful. Just like the Gee’s Bend Quilters, you can use your creativity to make art that is special and one‑of‑a‑kind.
