To Team K-Man and Friends,
January 2022 News
The Team Board met on January 8, 2022 to discuss "moving forward". The full notes from that meeting are available on our website at this link - Board Meeting Notes.
Here is some K-News:
1) Be a hero! We are looking for a new treasurer and co-leader. Skips Parks says he is, "very happy to help with the transition of signature cards, bank cards, Paypal, and of course the famous 'cash box' ". Thank you Skip Parks for your years of service. If you are able to help or have questions please let Keith (K-Man) Schmidt know and he'll get you all squared away. Thank you! . His email address is: kmanandrobyn@gmail.com
2) After two years of extending dues, the board has reinstated annual dues of $30/year for 2022. Folks wishing to join in 2022 can sign up on our website, or at our February Social, or at the K-Man Cyclery Shop in Atascadero. Membership Information. Link to 2021 Members List.
3) Social Update - The "Year End" and Welcome to 2022 Social will be planned for the end of February or beginning of March. The Board will search for an outdoor venue. Trifecta Tsar will be a keynote speaker. Our first 3rd Friday meet-up of 2022 will be at Tent City Brewing (outside venue) on Friday, January 21 at 4:30. Light snacks and Pelligrino provided; often there is the TC food truck available as well.
4) Swim Update - the goal is to begin our coached workouts again in March. Hopefully Dolfin will be back in production by February/March so we can order team suits. More news to come.
5) Thank you Len Colamarino for leading our Saturday rides. The team appreciates the excellent ride announcements, the variety of routes, your encouraging inclusion, and your enthusiasm that supports the social aspect of Team K-Man.
6) Thank you swim coaches for your unwavering commitment to posting workouts on the pool deck and for your renewed interest in deck coaching. (thank you to Nancy Prier, David Strybel, and Keith Schmidt)
7) Our website has had to move to another format, so it is in the transition process. Here is the long address: https://sites.google.com/view/teamkman/
8) 2021 and 2022 Challenge Board news to come. Lots of athletes to congratulate on an incredible year of challenges.
Bring on 2022!
