Though the building itself looks realistic and restrained on the outside, the intricate displays in the windows and the grinning toy soldier over the store’s logo betray the true spirit of this place. Step inside, and you will enter a wonderland of toys and delights. There is even an assortment of interactive play areas, such as a floor piano whose keys play music as you step on them. Near by the exit for Night at the Museum is this gift shop, serving as an extension of the Museum of Natural History. The interior is modern in design, though its walls are also adorned with paintings of historical figures and settings. As for the merchandise, it very much fits with the Museum and its goals of education. All sorts of items related to the Museum can be found where, from dinosaur plush dolls to do-it-yourself science kits to books about famous people from history. You can even find apparel related to the Museum, along with DVDs and Blu Rays of the Night at the Museum films. Whatever you may want, there is bound to be the perfect souvenir from your visit to the Museum of Natural History.
