There's always a good place to eat when you're on the big streets of the Big Apple. You can go high-class and sky-high with the Empire State Club, or go for something simple over at the Bagel Boathouse.
Looking like a tall and imposing skyscraper (thanks to some forced perspective), the Empire State Club serves as a premier table service restaurant in New York. Stepping inside, guests are greeted with a lobby that proudly bares an Art Deco design, with walls in gold and black along with pictures hanging up of New York history. After checking in at the front desk, guests are directed to the bank of elevators. Though the elevators only head one floor up, they are designed to feel like they are express elevators passing plenty of floors (with stairs also available, for those who choose). Stepping off the elevators, guests find themselves in a high-class restaurant, with jazz and big band music in the air and projection windows showing off the New York skyline.

The Empire State Club is inspired by the high-class New York dining scene, so its menu is inspired by classic restaurants such as Delmonico’s and Smith & Wollensky. The appetizers start off the menu with classic choices like crab cakes and mozzarella di bufala, before moving onto entrees such as filet mignon, Lobster Newberg, and pasta primavera. Of course, a hearty meal like this wouldn’t be complete without dessert, such as some New York cheesecake or a frozen hot chocolate. As for drinks, there are plenty of soft drink options, along with water and sparkling grape juices. Of course, there is also a prime “mocktail” menu, offering stunning concoctions with no alcohol such as the Lime Rickey (seltzer, lime juice, and simple syrup), the Shirley Temple (lemon-line soda, grenadine, and ginger ale), and the Autumnal Temptations (grapefruit juice, apricot nectar, and lavender soda).
With a menu like this and those grand views of the Big Apple, the Empire State Club is just the place to feel like a real New Yorker with a grand night out on the town.
(Visual inspiration, though scaled down to a simpler level)
Situated among the greenery of Central Park, this quaint quick service eatery is made to offer guests a chance to rest their feet in the “City That Never Sleeps”. Within these wooden walls is a variety of snacks to help fuel your busy day. You can order among a variety of bagels (whether plain or with a schmear of your choice like cream cheese or jam) or try out one of the sandwiches like the Reuben (corned beef sandwich with sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing) or the Beef on Weck (beef sandwich with horseradish on a kummelweck roll). There is also coffee and an assortment of fruit juices to drink. Once you’ve got your food, you can grab a table on the patio space and watch the Swan Boats out on Central Park Pond. It all adds up to a peaceful moment as you enjoy your meal, taking in the sights of New York as you recharge with a little fuel.
