Team 977- Cometbots promotes a full FIRST Discovery Program featuring demonstrations, camps, and programs for kids in grades K-8. From supporting the HCMS Robotics Team to development of new STEM and Robotics Programs, Team 977 is building the future- one robot at a time.
Junior members are students in grades 6-8 who attend FRC meetings without the full commitment of the team. They learn skills and engage with the team so they are ready to become full members when they enter high school.
The 1st Annual STEM Fair will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 at The Prizery in South Boston. The community is invited to attend and participate in STEM based activities to earn raffle tickets. Tickets can then be used to win prizes! This is a FREE event for families and the community.

Team 977 supports the Halifax County Lego League- Explore Team as student mentors. FLL- Explore is for students in 2nd-5th grade and designed to support students in exploring robotics and engineering.
