Joshua Carpenter
🎨 Art Educator 🍎
Born and raised in Colorado, I always knew I was going to grow up and say something with creativity! Now as a multidisciplinary art teacher with a BFA in art education and art history minor from Metropolitan State University of Denver, I'm doing just that. Working in the land of fantasy to capture my conceptual and faith-based outlook on life, my practice takes inspiration from literature and storytelling through the lens of identity. My goal is simple: change the world one lesson at a time.
The world is a place of great curiosity and exercising the brain on imagination is imperative to navigating its wonders. Today kids are bombarded with information, naturally they become selective on where to put their energy; it's for this reason I believe in focusing on the entirety of a student and their holistic education across life experiences. Striving to create a classroom culture that fosters critical thinking to nurture the crucial human need of creativity. The key ingredient? Authenticity.
