My name is Taylor Nagel and I am a first year educator at Stoughton High School and River Bluff Middle School. A little background about me: I am from Green Bay, WI. Go Packers! In 2017, I moved to Stevens Point in order to attend UW-Stevens Point and pursue a career in Spanish Education. During that time I studied abroad in Spain, mentored students with different capabilities and mental health struggles, and managed the Study Abroad Office in order to send more students abroad. I graduated college in 2021 and adjusted my education in order to succeed during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In this website you can find an About Me section accompanied with many different technological tools that I have used in the past and can/will incorporate in my classroom.
Let's have a great year!
In my elementary school, ever since I can remember we often visited the computer lab for typing practice and for small activities. However these computers labs contained thick backed, outdated computers. We primarily used them for typing pal and to write short essays for class. Back then everything was written out first and was not made to go on the computer until the absolute final draft. We also used overheads, and then smart boards became popular. Now, there are smart boards in almost every classroom, desktop computers have turned to laptops, home phones have turned into cell phones, etc. My education increased tenfold because of the increase of technology. It should be used in the classroom because students are going to need to use it in most points of their life. In their future education, job, and in their daily lives.
This website demonstrates different forms of technology and different applications that I have learned and can/will bring into my classroom. In order to help my students, I have taken the time to learn different tools to help me become a successful teacher and help my students become successful in their future as well!
