On this page you will see different tools I have used in my pre-service experience and in my current classroom. You can also see how these applications and tools can be used in a classroom and how they can help my future students become successful in the use of technology in the classroom without sacrificing time with the distractions that SOME technology can bring.
ISTE standards are a framework for innovation in education. The focus on technology in education. They are published by the International Society for Technology and Education. In each page of my website you will be able to see how each tool has met or worked with ISTE standards and how these tools helped me become a better educator.
The SAMR model stands for substitution, augmentation, modification, redefinition. The model supports and enables teachers to design, develop, and infuse digital learning experiences that utilize technology in the classroom. After you see how each assignment aligns with the ISTE standards, you can see how each assignment can align with the SAMR model as well.
From when I was in grade school until now technology has improved greatly. Teachers have had to learn with the curve and keep up with the new technology in order to give their students the best chance they could at being successful. We as young educators were lucky enough to learn a lot of these updates in school and grow up with these technological changes. However as educators we have to continue to learn and keep up with the technology in order to be better teachers. In this website you will find some tools I have used in my classroom and in my pre-service experience.
