The school, parents and community members have all worked together to develop a wonderful kitchen garden in our grounds to compliment our existing well equipped kitchen to enable us to offer weekly garden and kitchen classes.

The children participate in hour long garden classes with our garden specialist, horticulturalist Mel Husada in our expansive and expanding kitchen garden.

Our cooking classes are held in our our newly completed purpose built kitchen and dining room. The students work with our kitchen specialist, Chris Cooney, followed by a communal meal with their classmates, teachers and our wonderful volunteers.

The success of our kitchen and garden classes is in no small part due to the assistance of family and community volunteers who help out in the classes. You do not need to commit to regular sessions or have any expertise, just a willingness to assist and guide eager children as they learn the lifelong skills of gardening and cooking.
