2D Asset Designer & Game Designer
This game was made in Unity during a week-long game jam. In this game, in order to bring their sim to life, the player needs to successfully trace the outline of a rune. The rune would have different lines depending on the type of character the player creates. For example, a line for a farmer profession is different than a line of a townspeople. The rune tracing is the main gameplay element of the simulation, allowing players to have more interaction rather than only observing the townsfolk. The first image on the right displays the in game environment. The room is 3D however the sims are 2D.
I helped create the different runes and I also created most of the 2D assets in this game including the display assets for the farmers, townsfolk and shepherd. I made the rune book, which when pressed shows the list of sims the player can create alongside their rune.
My process work consisted of trying to find the best symbols to represent the different occupations. We wanted to keep the symbols thematic, which made choosing the right ones all the more important.
