• The Structural Calculation: Instead of relying on vague terms, treat Dǒng as a physics-based interpretation. You are not "feeling their Qi"; you are precisely calculating the structural line along which their force is flowing relative to their base of support and center of gravity.

• The Path of Least Resistance: By identifying the Jìn Lù, you are mapping the opponent's intended path of strength. This map inherently reveals their structural points of weakness: where their force is over-committed, where their balance is vulnerable, and where their structure is weakest.

• A Vulnerability Map: The Power Line is not just the path of attack; it's a Vulnerability Map. Once you know the path of the force, you know precisely where to apply your Huà to disrupt that line most efficiently.

The Jìn Lù as the Through-Line

The Jìn Lù identified in Dǒng is the most important strategic element of the entire framework. It becomes the single, unwavering focus that guides the remaining steps:

1. We maintain connection along this line to prevent the opponent from resetting their structure.

2. We apply Huà directly against this line to neutralize the force.

3. We use the disruption of this line to achieve Nà (Control).

4. We capitalize on the vulnerability created along this line to issue Fā (Power).
