Title: Algebraic locality and generalized symmetries
Abstract: I will discuss connections between algebraic locality principles ("Haag duality" and "disjoint additivity") and generalized symmetries. I will focus on 2503.20863, in which we connected the existence of noninvertible symmetries in RCFT to the structure of certain symmetry-invariant local algebras. Time permitting, I will also discuss some results from 2509.03589 on how algebraic locality interfaces with local symmetry constraints on the lattice.
