Title: Spontaneous non-invertible symmetry breaking

Abstract: Giving (almost) for granted the motivation for generalized symmetries, and spontaneous symmetry breaking, we focus on the latter phenomenon for non-invertible symmetries. These can be further distinguished in discrete, rational and continuous, each case leading to different physics upon breaking. We first review the case of discrete axial/R-symmetry, analyzing both supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric cases. We then consider the case of duality and triality symmetries, and how they can be broken at the end of an RG flow. We finally consider the peculiar case of continuous non-invertible Nambu-Goldstone bosons, that parametrize an orbifold.
