Because this is a new adventure, we anticipate challenges and welcome them as opportunities to learn. We appreciate your patience and welcome your feedback!

The Makerspace area will be part of the EI schedule that comes out beginning in November. In the meantime, if you'd like to be a "pilot" class to go try it out and offer feedback, email Cody.English@k12.sd.us to schedule a time during your Enrichment & Intervention class. If you sign up for an October day, it will just be a one-day event doing a challenge called "A Bridge to Nowhere."
MakerSpace Rules and Procedures
1) There will be zero tolerance for horseplay, running, or throwing things. It is a safety issue.
2) When entering the makerspace, do so quietly and find an area for your group to sit.
3) Plan your project and figure out your material list first. Only send one person to gather materials and the same person to return the materials.
4) No hands will go up above the red line on the supply racks. If supplies are empty, ask Mr. English to get you more.
4) When you are finished with supplies, return them to the proper container or spot in storage area.
5) Everything from the metal cart must checked out with Mr. English.
6) Leave your area cleaner than you received it.
7) Respect the MakerSpace area and supplies. This is YOUR area, and any theft or damage to the supplies only hurts your fellow classmates. Don’t be the one!
8) HAVE FUN!!!!!
We value your input and feedback, and would love to have you contribute ideas about Makerspace stations! If you have not already done so, please complete the Makerspace survey.
