SRI/SMI

  • Log on for students is their 5 and 3 and middle initial (the middle initial needs to be in Skyward)

  • Password is a 0 followed by your lunch code.



This course is designed to help you be successful as a learner and in life. Invest your time wisely, you'll appreciate the payoffs!

Although their will be independent study time available some days, please do not save time sensitive homework for this period, as there will often be other things planned. Be proactive and get your homework done early.

Procedures

2019-2020

Supplies: Pencil bag/materials, book, homework, planner, composition notebook (in room).

The first 13 minutes is your only "common time" to access your core teachers.

Nine passes per semester (a PRE-signed pass from a teacher doesn't count).

Save your appetite for lunch.

Schedule:

  • Monday: (English Slip); complete and return to Callahan/Rudebusch)

  • Tuesday: (Math Slip); complete and return to McMachon/Peacock; every other week Math slips will be coupled with a brief PBIS lesson.

  • Wednesday: (Writing Prompt); students will complete the assigned weekly writing prompt in their composition notebooks. Work will be checked for compliance and completion. [Teacher Note: See the English PLC Powerpoint for further directions as needed.]

  • Thursday: (Math Slip); complete and return to McMachon/Peacock. Counseling Lesson.

  • Friday: AR/Focus Room

  • Always have an independent reading book with you during EI. If you do not have homework to work on during study hall time, you can always read. Math Prodigy and rice.com are also acceptable skill building activities/games that may be used during this time.

BEST PRACTICES for EI

At bell, please be in your seat and silent. Log into Student Access, check grades and missing assignments. Use prioritization system for planner. Review these Systems for Success.

Come prepared to class each day with your planner and necessary homework.

Write your assignments in your planner every day for every core class (encore as directed by your teacher).

Please follow the guildelines regarding noise and movement level posted on the home page.
