About Our Team:

The Shenandoah County Swim League started in 1993. Strasburg joined the league in 1996. The first coach was Alison Gallagher who coached Strasburg as a training location for the VSL NM team in 95 and the SCSL Strasburg team 96-97-98. Jeff Gunther started in 98.

The mission/vision of the Strasburg Waves Swim Team is to offer swimming to anyone who wants to swim. The only requirement for joining is to be able to swim a length of the pool. The Strasburg Waves make a commitment to each swimmer to teach each stroke, teach good sportsmanship, goal setting, and motivate each other as a team.
