Where can you find the Learning Sessions that are coming up?

There is a separate SWHerts Skills Calendar this can can be found on the Learning Sessions page on this site. You can also click this link to open the calendar in a new tab. Or... below there is a link which if you are using Google Calendars (or any calendar program that is enabled for ICAL) you can use to add the calendar, then you will have an up to date list of all workshops as they are added (automatically).

Booking In

If you are coming to any of the Learning Sessions then please use the Facebook Page where the events are listed and just click on 'GOING'.

How long are these Learning Sessions? ... and the format?

The workshops will generally be 90 minutes each. They are fully interactive (if you wish too). Questions and participation is encouraged... we of course would like you to get maximum value from the sessions.

Where are the Sessions being held?

All the Learning Sessions are being held locally. The events pages show the venue. You can also see the Venues page here on this website for information about each of the supportive venues.

Why are the Learning Sessions "Pay according to the value you received"?

There are five main reasons why we are offering the sessions using this unusual approach.

1. Many of us are on very tight budgets. Now we only pay if we received real value.
2. We don't know what we don't know. We will only know if something is useful if we can easily go and find out about it without worrying about the money.
3. Improves the way we use technology so we are effective and don't just add to the noise.
4. Local people learning together, leads to local people helping each other
5. Enables local people with great knowledge to share it... knowledge is only of real value when shared

Who is facilitating the Learning Sessions?

Initially the Learning Sessions will be hosted by Chris Ogle.

Chris is passionate about community and represents Link4Growth in South West Herts through his local organisation Innovation-People-Skills-Link4growth (IPSL).

Chris has helped to architect the SWHerts Community Hub which we are all able to contribute and post within. It is an organically growing hub that is there as a free service for the people of SWHerts.

Can others run Learning Sessions with SWHertsSkills?

Absolutely! So long as the basis on which they are run is exactly as above "Pay according to the value that you received" ... then we just need to talk and get the sessions programmed into the schedule.
