Community Involvement

Local Libraries

Many of our programs are held at the Phoenixville, Lower Providence, and Royersford Libraries. The libraries have given us space to hold our clinics, and we are responsible for the actual operation of activities. Thank you to these wonderful libraries for hosting us!

Orion Communities

We were contacted by Orion to come and run part of their STEM camp. Orion is an organization in Phoenixville that serves families who live under the poverty level, and the students we taught were children from such families. We ran our sessions pro bono, and are extremely grateful to work with Orion!

Spring-Ford

We were chosen to hold one of our session for Cool School, which is essentially a summer camp held through Spring-Ford. We were also fortnuate enough to share our experiences in "Sweatshirts to Scrubs" with students at Spring-Ford during their STEM Day.

Trellis4Tomorrow: Tempus Conference

The director of Orion Communities reached out to one of their contacts (Trellis4Tomorrow) and recommended us to work with them for their Tempus Conference. Trellis4Tomorrow is a community organization that strives to create real-world opportunities for youth and connect them with mentors. The Tempus Conference is an annual day-long forum for young adults to learn about becoming social entrepreneurs.

The Executive Director of Trellis4Tomorrow asked us be panel members for this event, given our proven social commitment in S2S . In January, we will share our experiences in creating S2S, and provide insight to our entrepreneurial journey with around 100 other students.
